Burgermeister
Das Guete.
Burgermeister makes burgers the way they should be: made from fresh Swiss beef, with homemade sauces and buns – and without a big fuss. No overloaded menu, just a few burgers that really deliver. Combined with the attitude of the buddy next door: direct, honest, with a wink. Das Guete, that’s it.
One Strong Burger Family
Burgermeister isn’t alone out there: together with Ruff’s Burger and Burgerheart, the brand forms the burger platform of the Gustoso Gruppe. Three brands, one standard – really good burgers, clearly positioned, with the same quality promise and a presence that stands out in the city.

Built to Stand Out
At Burgermeister, the look is just as confident as the burgers themselves. Black, minimal, urban – with a splash of color exactly where there’s something to celebrate. Real stores with character, where you feel right at home from the start. This presence turns a burger joint into a piece of city life – and that works far beyond Zurich alone: with eight locations there, three in Basel, and one each in Winterthur, Lucerne, and St. Gallen, the concept proves it travels well from city to city. Bern joins the lineup starting September 2026.

Handmade Burgers. For every Taste.
At Burgermeister, meat is the foundation, but by no means the whole menu: veggie and vegan fans get their full share too, for example with the plant-based patties from Planted or the house-made sauce and mayo, which also come in vegan versions. When it comes to meat, Burgermeister consistently relies on Swiss origin – the best chicken and beef, coarsely chopped, freshly prepared every day. And where cheese is needed, it doesn’t come from just anywhere: for the Raclette Burger, for example, it comes from a Swiss cheese dairy with a long tradition. Regional, honest, full of character – simply “Das Guete.”
Grilling since 2015 and hungry for more.
In 2015, Burgermeister started with a small store on Zurich’s Langstrasse: small, but mighty! The line out the door quickly turned into more locations: first more spots in Zurich, then Basel, St. Gallen, Lucerne, Winterthur, and Bern. With every new store, the same recipe has stayed the same: fresh Swiss ingredients, in-house recipes, no frills – simply Das Guete.
Seasonal specials and wordplay around “Meister” have kept the brand in motion ever since. The concept consistently relies on spontaneous walk-in customers rather than table reservations. Guests drop by whenever they feel like it. That very walk-in frequency was the driving force back on Langstrasse, and it continues to fuel growth today.

Real Estate Requirements
Burgermeister is looking for locations that combine a great atmosphere with high foot traffic. Particularly well-suited are lively nightlife districts, urban dining hotspots, and busy city-center areas with clear A- or B+-location quality.
Preferred are (district) centers, malls, leisure and transit locations with high visibility and an urban setting. The space requirement is approximately 80–200 m². A terrace is essential in order to make the most of foot-traffic potential and sustainably enhance the guest experience.
